I think it is sad that Microsoft is taking an OS origionally built in the , and destroying it. This is the last time I say it - Dont screw with Windows It is pretty bad when i can get Windows ME to start up and shut down faster than Windows 8, and Windows 10 could. Why is it so slow? Well, it is slow because Microsoft went and integrated a million useless apps that i consider bloatware, and then made it imposiple to uninstall many of them.

I see that there are some others who are questioning the availability of Service Pack 1, but see no response. Has SP 1 been issued yet? I am waiting to install Windows 10 but not before some of the "bugs" have been addressed.

Win 10 is getting updates to work out the bugs but you will not see a service pack. There is going to be a second "wave" of win 10 some time around November. In reply to A. I had to format my disk recently, and it took several hours to download and install all the updates. I don't want to go through that process again. I wasn't able to find a single file that collects all Windows 10 updates. I found on several places on Internet that Microsoft has announced that no service packs will be available. It is really annoying having to download over 1 GB of updates every time I install Windows 10 on a machine.
In practice , not a whole lot has changed, though! You'll be pleased to know that Microsoft makes ISO files available for download for the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Update, which is a "Service Pack" in all but the name its actual functionality is effectively identical to what they used to call a "Service Pack". That said , there is currently no easy way that I know of to install to an end-user machine from a Windows ISO with a graphical installer, etc. This is possible using something called Slipstreaming where you basically build your own custom ISO that consists of the latest Windows Build i.
